Weather has been GOOD

Well we are taking advantage of the good weather and continuing North. We traveled through the Sandy Straits yesterday, and anchored up behind Big Woody Island. Today we left Big Woody and reached Bundaberg. We are anchored in the Burnett river right now and saw the most amazing sunset. Photo attached above. We will be leaving early tomorrow for a place called Pancake Creek. Not sure about reception there, so we may be out of range until we reach Gladstone. Look forward to hearing from family and friends. Bye for now.

On Our way at last!

We left last night out of Mooloolaba at 8:30 with 3 other boats all heading for Wide Bay bar and Fraser Island. Was a rough night with the wind on the nose and very confused seas, but well worth it for a clam bar crossing! We are anchored now inside the bar across from Fraser Island in the Sandy Straits, at Pelican Bay. We were greeted at the bar, and the anchorage with DOLPHINS right up to the boat they came! I am attaching a photo of two of the boats that came with us.

We're READY!

As off Saturday 25th of April we are ready! Nothing left to do on the list. We are waiting for the a break in the weather. To change our luck we decided to change our colors. Aaaaarrrrgh here is a photo off us with the new colors. We are planning to leave tonight sailing all night to reach the Wide Bay bar. Want to cross the bar in the morning on the high tide, and when the water is hopefully the calmest.  Looks like we will be traveling with a few other boats who have also been waiting to go.

Ready To Go

Hi Guys

We are ready to rock and roll (not to much roll please) The weather window will be good (we think) this Saturday. So if all goes well we will leave at 4.00am and cross the bar at Wide Bay approx 4.00pm the next afternoon - see what happens.

Good Friday

Hey all,

We are so close to being ready to head off. Should be ok next Saturday 18/4/09 with the seas and weather predictions almost spot on.

Good Friday saw us with the family at Jo's place where she cooked a great roast pork for the family feast. She has taken over now as pork cooking queen. It was great to see the there girls together and their partners with conversation lively and much laughter.

Untill next time - Bruce & Saundra

Well April has come around and the weather is bloody awful. Hughie has done it again and is giving us and all the cruisers a good serve. The boat is all but ready with a few late additions to be installed in the next week.

We will have a Satellite phone ready to go soon so if you want to be able to contact us when we are on the move let us know and we will give you the number when we get it.
