Ribbon Reef #9

 so cute
 anchoring on sandy bottom
checking me out as I was checking it out
 Look how calm it was!
So many little and big fish!

Well it was so calm we had to motor here today. We left Cape Flattery this morning, and timed it so we would get here around noon when the sun is good for seeing bommies on the reef. We had a look around and found a spot with a sandy bottom and no shallow coral heads. We were anchored up by 12:30. I made us some lunch as we got things settled in, and we were snorkelling by 1:30. The fish here are so plentiful, and the coral different on each of the sites we went to. The winds did pick up in the afternoon to about 11 kts as the tide was coming in so it did get a little rocky, but now the winds have eased and the tide is dropping. There are few boats anchored north & south of us from the Lizard Island Marlin tournament.
We haven't decided if we will move on tomorrow or stay here and explore.
